SYKYM® Unit

The SYKYM® Unit is designed to prevent unauthorised access to sensitive areas of the workplace.

This is achieved by physically preventing people from removing guards and barriers or from opening panels or access hatches.

How Does It Work?
It works by securing a stainless steel nut inside a stainless steel collar. The nut is designed so that conventional tools cannot be used to take it off. The nut has a nylon insert to make it vibration proof.

Once the nut is secure, the collar is sealed with a rubber cap and a Ty-Rap®. It is necessary to remove the Ty-Rap® prior to removing the nut.

If site management keep control of the SYKYM® key, personnel cannot gain unauthorised access to sensitive areas. Each time the key is issued for use, a replacement Ty-Rap® will also be issued. As the Ty-Rap® is unique; persons cannot tamper with a SYKYM® Unit as they do not have a replacement Ty-Rap®.

The SYKYM® Unit for food processing is similar to the standard unit shown above except that it is hermetically sealed to prevent any ingress of food products.
